One Team Renovations is a highly specialized building and construction business.

We are seeking the services of a highly skilled wall and floor tiler to join our talented team of professionals.

We specialize in providing major residential and commercial renovations with a primary focus on kitchen, laundry and bathroom renovations as well as structural wall or doorway removals.

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years of relevant experience working for a similar business with a demonstrated ability to undertake the following duties with minimal supervision.

The duties and responsibilities of a Wall & Floor Tiler at One Team Renovations includes the following:

 

• Liaise with project manager and foreman to ensure that the project is completed in accordance with the client’s standards and the One Team Renovations’ standards.

• Select and work with materials such as ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles including marbles, travertine, limestone, sandstone, bluestone, granite, cobblestone, pavers and HD terrazzos and glass mosaics.

• Liaise with clients on-site and/or in the factory if required

• Examine plans, measure and mark surfaces and work layout

• Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, fill holes and cracks, and clean surfaces

• Spread adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and set tiles in appropriate position

• Use tile cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes by ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced

• Grout tiles, and clean excess grout

• Apply waterproofing systems

• Use coloured tiles to create mosaic or herringbone patterns

• Manage internal training courses to train and mentor more junior staff

• Assist with improvements in the basic business processes.

• Ensure machines are maintained each week and attend all training as required.

• Load the truck or van with tiles and undertake deliveries as well as unloading stock from supplier trucks.

• Provide feedback on processes and recommend improvements if the opportunity arises.

• Keep workspace tidy and clean.

• Be attentive and show a willingness to learn.

• Be friendly and approachable.

• Courteous, clean, and well dressed.

• Obeying time recording rules.

• No swearing especially on client premises.

• Follow company policies including WHS processes and procedures.
